BLPS Finanancial position

The Directors of the BLPS are pleased to share with you the financial position of the organization.  Our organization is solely focused on preserving and protecting what is special about our lake, and the impact that we have is entirely subject to the generosity of our members with their contributions of effort and funds.

2019 Results of Operations

Fiscal year 2019 was our best fund-raising year since the BLPS was formed, with $2,175 in member dues and $14,065 in program and general fund donations.  Program expenditures totaled $2,874 (which is net of $1,703 in reimbursements from Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council in support of our Swimmer's Itch program).  Non-discretionary spending on website, insurance, bank fees and the annual meeting came in at $1,626 for the year.  All in all, results from operations in 2019 put us in a strong position to fund our programs in 2020, so many thanks to our members for their generosity last year!

2020 Outlook

We have not yet initiated our membership drive for 2020, but as noted above, we started the year with a healthy amount of carry-over funding to support program activities this year.  Please refer to the financial statements above to see our budgets for each program area for 2020.

You can learn more about our programs and projects under the PROGRAMS tab of this website.   You can renew your membership and contribute funds to specific projects at the MEMBERSHIP page, and you can volunteer to be a part of the committees, project teams, and board of directors at the CONTACT page.  Please also encourage your friends and neighbors to join the BLPS - even those that don't have homes on the lake but come up to visit and enjoy the beauty of our special lake!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE BLPS AS WE WORK TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT BLACK LAKE!
